Monica Emerich, Ph.D.
Researcher, Writer, & Editor

I’m a writer, editor, and communications consultant. With more than thirty years in the business, I’ve supplied communication services to a wide swath of industry, notably for media organizations, the LOHAS marketplace, natural products manufacturers and retailers, sustainability endeavors, social justice non-profits, trade associations, institutions of higher education, and medical research.

My doctorate is in media studies, working on treatment of sustainability in LOHAS-friendly media. Under Writing are listed my academic books as well as a sampling of my trade- and consumer-magazine articles, and creative fiction and non-fiction writing.

Visit my blog Scribal Affair for a bit of a wander through social and cultural landscapes that I find beautiful and sometimes beastly. Thank you for stopping by.

Be still when you have nothing to say; when genuine passion moves you, say what you’ve got to say, and say it hot.” — D. H. Lawrence

Quote of the Day

“The tree which moves some to tears of joy is in the eyes of others only a green thing that stands in the way. Some see nature all ridicule and deformity… and some scarce see nature at all. But to the eyes of the man of imagination, nature is imagination itself.”
― William Blake, Letter to Revd. Dr. Trusler (23 August 1799)
